Just some photos I came across.

I'm always trying to find the best method for me to organize my photos. It's a continuous and monotonous challenge, that I go at with little motivation. I have actually started to delete some photos, that I realized I will never use, which is a pretty big step forward for me, because I rarely delete anything. Anyhow, these are a few I felt like sharing, while looking to take out the trash.

Love

I found this waiting for me, when I got out of the shower today. I love these kids 'o mine!

Breakfast on the Beach

Today, and nearly every day now, I enjoy this wonderful omelet for breakfast. The cheese I used today happened to be JalapeƱo Jack, so there were little bits of spicy surprise, every now and then. Yum! Normally I use mozzarella or provolone- Both of which are delicious with spinach. Oh, and that's Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage, there below. Also pretty yum. I can't drink coffee right now, so that is roasted buckwheat tea (I think, anyway) and it is so good.

If you want to enjoy this awesomeness, it's pretty basic, as far as omelets are concerned.

You'll need these ingredients, in the proportions that suit you. :)

Eggs, beaten with a little milk
Spinach (I love baby spinach, but it really doesn't matter.)
Cheese (I prefer white cheeses for this kind of omelet.)

Pour the eggs into a medium heated, lightly oiled skillet. Add enough spinach and cheese to your liking. Add a little bit of water for steam, around the edges of the pan. Turn heat to low and cover with lid. Let it steam until the spinach is slightly wilted, fold over to make the omelet, and cover again, until the eggs completely set. If needed, add a little salt and pepper, and enjoy!! (I like ketchup here, too!)

A Painted Night

This is the first time I've tried anything like this. Going for that painted look, which is something I don't do, because oftentimes, I think it looks pretty cheesy. However, I think this picture has lent itself for a decent painted interpretation.

What a week. Random updates.

So this week almost ate me alive, as I had yet another temporary hearing, and an appointment with a Parent Coordinator. Two unwanted trips downtown, is just plain, unpleasant. That is, of course, in addition to V.B.S., with the those 20+ silly, five year old boys, all week long. Now I have a ton of pics to go through for church. Hopefully there will be a few good ones to throw into the mix.

I still have been meaning to make an Independence Day post, but that just hasn't come together as I'd hoped. Maybe one day- I'm already way late.

Since being on the South Beach, I have been enjoying some decent, though not decadent foods, like omelets, salads, etc. The only problem is, I don't feel completely satiated. Therefore, I've been feeling a little weak, and therefore, working out seems to be a harder to attain goal, than I'd anticipated. I don't believe I have lost any weight yet, but my appetite has certainly shrunk. Oh, what I would kill, for a sandwich or some rice... Or better yet, a caramel Frappuccino.

I heard recently from a friend, that a former co-worker of mine has been out of work with cancer. It's so sad, how that can strike so suddenly and even in people who are seemingly healthy. I called her and she seemed to want prayer more than visitors, so I will honor that request and do just that. I wish there was more I could do.

On a much happier note, a plan has come together, as I am now the owner of the beloved softwares: Photoshop and LightRoom. And they're legit. Woot! And I also happened upon this sweet Bamboo Fun to create on! Now I just need to capture some cool photographs. Maybe this business thing will happen for me, one day. Call me if you want some photography done. :)

Busy, busy.

It's been pretty busy around here. This week is my church's Vacation Bible School (VBS) week and I am a lucky volunteer. For 5 year old boys. 24 of them. Holy moly! We were expecting around 10, and while it's a blessing to have the number so multiplied, it's a little much. I mean, A LOT much. These boys are absolutely nuts! Boys are boys, and 24, five-year-olds, well... That's a whole new ballgame. I've become a wrangler of sorts, and yes, I had to bust out the "mom voice" a few times to get their attention. They have potential, at moments, but sometimes having them sit through long stories is just a little too much. Hopefully, things will flow a little more smoothly, tomorrow.

Tomorrow. Ugh. Not only am I on nutty-kid-patrol, but I've also got to show up to court, almost immediately after VBS! I loathe going to court and don't wish it upon anyone- Especially for a divorce. My advice is, if in doubt- Don't get married. Red flags are just that. Don't ignore them! And don't be foolish enough to think that puttin' a ring on it, will change anything. It won't. So just make sure you take care of those red flags, before putting your John Hancock on that piece of paper. It might just be a piece of paper, but it sure is hard to get rid of...

On another note, I've been trying to put together some vids, and get some pics up here, but being so busy hasn't really allowed me the time to do so. Hopefully I can get to it, soon.

The Wild Trapeze

The wonderful Brandon Boyd, from Incubus, has released a solo album, The Wild Trapeze. Yay! Check out his Mexican looking self, below. In other Incubus news, the band is headed back to the studio. Woohoo!
